Refurbished DJI Phantom 4 Pro - Amazing Price on the World's Best Selling 20MP Quadcopter!

The only thing better than owning a DJI Phantom 4 Pro drone is getting one at an incredible price. If you want a great DJI Phantom 4 Pro deal, this is how you get it. Buy a refurbished DJI Phantom 4 Pro!

There is absolutely no difference between a refurbished Phantom 4 Pro and a brand new one. Refurbished DJI Phantom 4 Pro drones have never been in an accident; they have no scratches or scuffs; they look and perform exactly the same as a brand new drone.

Refurbished drones are ones that were simply returned, for whatever reason, within 10 days of being purchased. Sometimes they were returned because of buyer's remorse, sometimes they get returned when a gift recipient exchanged the drone for another one and sometimes there was a minor problem like a battery that would not hold a charge or a board that needed to be replaced.

Upon return, the drone is thoroughly tested and inspected. If any problems are found, the components are replaced with brand new ones and then they are packaged in the same box a brand new drone comes in.

A refurbished DJI Phantom 4 Pro has EXACTLY THE SAME WARRANTY as a brand new Phantom 4 Pro, so you can rest easy knowing that your refurbished drone really is just as good as a brand new one.

It's your choice. You can pay $220 dollars more for a brand new Phantom 4 Pro or get exactly the same thing with a refurbished one. We'll let you decide!

DJI Phantom 4 Pro Drone - The Cream of the Phantom 4 Crop

The Phantom 4 Pro features the best of everything - an improved 4K HD/120 MP high resolution camera, tougher titanium alloy/magnesium alloy body construction and vision sensors on all sides of the drone.

The camera is the same one on the Phantom 4 Advanced, which is an improvement over the camera on the standard Phantom 4 and it also has the same durable, lightweight body construction of the Phantom 4 Advanced.

The major difference from a Phantom 4 Advanced is that the DJI Phantom 4 Pro has vision sensors surrounding the entire quadcopter, allowing it to automatically avoid obstacles to the front, back and both sides of the drone. Statistics compiled by DJI show that 90% of all drone crashes occur when a drone is moving in a direction other than forward, so this truly is a big deal!

Highlights of the DJI Phantom 4 Pro:

  • Ready To Fly
  • More sensors: 5-way obstacle sensing, 4-way obstacle avoidance, dual compasses, dual IMUs
  • Range: 4.3 miles
  • Maximum flight time: 30 minutes
  • Top speed: 45 mph
  • Big 1-inch sensor
  • 4K video @ 60fps
  • 20MP stills in 14fps bursts
  • Mechanical shutter that eliminates rolling distortion
  • Dual-frequency transmission to avoid interference
  • Active-Track for locking onto and tracking subjects in three modes

The DJI Phantom 4 Pro is the latest in the Phantom 4 series, which has been the standard by which quadcopters are measured since its introduction, and for many reasons. This line of maneuverable drones is competent in every area, with 4K video, image stabilization from a motorized 3-axis gimbal, long range, good flight time, high speed, precise placement, memory features, highly capable flight programs, and obstacle avoidance.

So what makes this Phantom 4 worthy of its “Pro” title?

Start with the camera. The Phantom 4 Pro is capable of 4K video shot at a fast 60 frames per second. That’s professional-level, TV-quality video that can be edited into smooth slow motion. The P4P’s camera shoots exquisite 20MP stills in 14fps bursts - twice that of earlier Phantom 4 models. And it’s all recorded through a pixel-packed 1-inch sensor.

The Phantom 4 Pro adds Intelligent Flight Modes and the improved DJI Go 4 flight control app. And there are more sensors for much safer and more confident flight. You’ll be more willing to go for the daring shot when you know you’re in total control.

DJI Phantom 4 Pro Photo

Fly Your Phantom 4 Pro Today

The Phantom 4 Pro comes Ready To Fly. That means only minor, non-soldered assembly is required. Everything you need is in the box, except for your smartphone or tablet, either of which you will connect by USB cable to the remote controller.

High-Performance Camera for Improved Imagery

The capabilities of the camera make a very clear “Pro” statement. The 1-inch CMOS sensor more than doubles the pixels in older Phantom 4 cameras. It provides more definition in both video and stills.

More Phantom 4 Pro camera advantages:

True 4K video: You’d have a tough time discerning 4K video shot by a Phantom 4 Pro from 4K video shot by cameras on higher-priced quadcopters. A motorized 3-axis gimbal keeps the video shake-free. The 60fps speed makes P4P video an ideal candidate for conversion to slow motion. The output is increased to 100Mbs from 60Mbs on earlier Phantom 4 models. This is true professional-level video that’s suitable for shooting TV news, commercials, features, advanced web pages, weddings and indoor/outdoor events.

20MP Stills: The bigger sensor takes stills to an outstanding 20MP on the Phantom 4 Pro, up from 12MP on previous P4s. And the maximum burst rate doubles to 14fps from 7fps on earlier P4s. Those are huge improvements for professional photographers.

Adjustable Aperture: Remember when you had to attach a filter on bright days to reduce the light entering through the Phantom 4’s fixed f2.8 aperture? On the Phantom 4 Pro, you can adjust the aperture through a dynamic range of f2.8 to down to f11, directly from your remote controller. That’s helpful for taming bright sunlight and for increasing depth of field. Filters, of course, are still accommodated.

Distortion-free shutter: The mechanical shutter on the Phantom 4 Pro prevents rolling distortion. If you have shot really fast action from an earlier Phantom 4, you might have encountered distortion. A photo of a racecar, for instance, would produce oblong tires because the camera couldn’t freeze action that fast. Now the rotating tires look like tires, not like a distant galaxy spinning in space.

Shutter speeds: The mechanical shutter has manually adjustable speeds from 8 seconds for time exposures to 1/2000 second for freezing action. The electronic shutter adjusts from 8 seconds to 1/8000 second.

DJI Go 4 Flight Program Provides Complete Control

You need a flight program that does more than tell your drone how fast and in which direction to go. How about a program that provides total camera control, with onscreen adjustments for aperture, ISO, shutter and shooting formats? That’s DJI Go 4. Maybe you want changes in flight data to show up immediately in front of you. Or you want to easily check video transmission data. Maybe you want to be reminded of what flight mode you’re in. It’s all there with DJI Go 4, along with a variety of helpful flight modes.

Automatic Flight Modes

TapFly: Just tap on the screen to point your drone in that direction. It will automatically avoid obstacles, unless you’re in TapFly Free. In Tap Fly Free, the drone goes in the direction you tell it but you can separately control the camera and gimbal. That leaves your hands free to concentrate on aerial video or photography, not on flying the aircraft. With TapFly Forward, the Pro will go forward to where your tap points it, with the camera and gimbal straight ahead. In TapFly Backward, the drone flies backwards in the direction opposite of where you tapped on the screen, with the camera and gimbal again aimed to the front of the aircraft.

Draw: Here’s another program that lets you concentrate on controlling the camera on your Phantom 4 Pro. Use your finger to draw your route onscreen, and the aircraft will follow it. Draw Standard allows the drone to follow the indicated path with the camera facing the direction of flight. Draw Manual really helps with creative video and photography by telling the drone to follow the path only when you command it to move, while you aim the camera wherever you want.

Return to Home: This program is your security blanket when you signal the Phantom 4 Pro to return to base. It also automatically boots when the signal is lost. The aircraft follows the safe path it just took, or if that path is unavailable, it finds its way using GPS and obstacle avoidance.

Active Track Locks Onto Your Subject

A lone pilot who also has to operate the camera will appreciate ActiveTrack. The program makes it much easier for a solo operator to take quality video and photos by locking onto and tracking the subject. The aircraft adjusts to the subject’s speed, whether he slows or speeds up. Available are three modes:

Trace: Follow in front of or behind the subject, using obstacle avoidance.

Profile: Follow alongside the subject, presenting different angles.

Spotlight: Recognize and keep the subject in the frame while you fly in any direction, looking for the unusually expressive shot. This works best with a still or slow-moving subject.

More Sensors for Advanced Obstacle Detection

The Phantom 4 Pro is safer to fly than earlier Phantom 4 drones because it has more sensors to detect obstacles. Older Phantom 4 aircraft had sensors up front. The Pro has sensors on the front, both sides, the bottom and the back. It will sense obstacles in all those directions. It will avoid obstacles in the front, sides and back. P4P can sense obstacles as close as 7 inches and as far away as 23 feet - really useful if you’re flying near trees or indoors. The security from five-directional sensing generates confidence to get in, get a difficult shot, and get out safely.

Dual Compasses, Dual IMUs for Reliability

Professionals can’t afford to scratch a mission because a drone’s positioning hardware fails. That’s why the Phantom 4 Pro has redundant compasses and IMUs. If one of either fails, the redundant sensor takes over, and the flight continues. Reliance on the backup sensor is seamless. Phantom 4 Pro also relies on two satellite systems: GPS and GLONASS, the Russian system. If GPS becomes unavailable, the other system can be used.

Long Range, Dual Frequencies

The Phantom 4 Pro’s remote controller operates at up to 4.3 miles. Video is transmitted by Lightbridge in 1080p, or 720p at farther distances. Two frequencies are available for transmissions: 2.4Ghz and 5.8Ghz. The Pro will switch between frequencies automatically if it senses interference from cell towers, WiFi or some other source.

Intelligent Flight Batteries, Long Flight Time

The DJI Intelligent Flight Battery is the smartest drone battery on the market, and that makes it highly reliable. It’s smart enough to prevent overcharging or over draining. It even protects against damage during storage by slowly discharging power. An Intelligent Flight Battery tells you, through the DJI Go 4 flight program, how much power it has in reserve. Reserve running low? Return to Home mode will get your Phantom 4 Pro safely back to base before power is gone. But don’t worry; each battery gives the Phantom 4 Pro up to 30 minutes of flight time.

Remembering the Important Things

When you return to base for a fresh battery, the Phantom 4 Pro remembers its takeoff spot and lands there, making landings easier. It then returns to the precise spot where you had been recording, because it remembers that, too. Since you flew there safely, P4P remembers the flight path. When Return to Home is activated, whether by you or automatically by the flight program when a signal is lost, the aircraft uses the safe path to get back to base.

An uprated camera is equipped with a 1-inch 20-megapixel sensor capable of shooting 4K/60fps video and Burst Mode stills at 14fps. The adoption of titanium alloy and magnesium alloy construction increases the rigidity of the air-frame and reduces weight, making the Phantom 4 Pro similar in weight to the Phantom 4. The FlightAutonomy system adds dual rear vision sensors and infrared sensing systems for a total of five-directions of obstacle sensing and four-directions of obstacle avoidance.

  • 20MP, 1-inch Image Sensor
  • 4K - 60fps
  • Mechanical Shutter
  • H.264 & H.265 Dual Coding
  • 5-Directions of Obstacle Sensing
  • 2.4GHz & 5.8GHz HD - 4.3mi (7km) Transmission Range
  • 30 min Flight Time

Camera with 1-inch 20MP Sensor

The onboard camera has been redesigned to use a 1-inch 20-megapixel CMOS sensor. A custom engineered lens made up of eight elements is arranged in seven groups, it is the first DJI camera to use a mechanical aperture that eliminates rolling shutter distortion that can occur when taking images of fast moving subjects or when flying at high speed and a mechanical focus. In effect, it is as powerful as many traditional ground cameras. More powerful video processing supports H.264 4K videos at 60fps, or H.265 4K at 30fps, both with a 100Mbps bit rate. Advanced sensors and processors ensure everything is captured with more image detail and the image data needed for advanced post-production.

Five-Directions of Obstacle Sensing

FlightAutonomy is expanded with an additional set of high-resolution stereo vision sensors placed at the rear in addition to the pair placed at the front as well as infrared sensing systems placed on the left and right sides. This network creates a total of five-directions of obstacle sensing and four-directions of obstacle avoidance, protecting the Phantom 4 Pro from obstacles and giving filmmakers the confidence to capture more complex images.

Remote Controller with Built-in Screen

The Phantom 4 Pro controller integrates an upgraded Lightbridge HD video transmission system that adds 5.8 GHz transmission support. The ability to choose between 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz allows pilots to cut through interference and eliminates image lag caused when flying in an area with extensive 2.4GHz frequency use. This ensures the optimum range of maximum video transmission of 4.3mi (7km)*.

A 5.5in 1080p screen integrated wuth the Phantom 4 Pro+ offers 1000cd/m² of brightness, more than twice as bright as conventional smart devices. It makes bright, vivid colours easily visible in direct sunlight. With this screen, a mobile device is not required, simplifying pre-flight preparations. As the DJI GO app is built into the screen. hardware and software can be fully optimised, further reducing video lag.

Integration of an HDMI port, Micro-SD card slot, microphone, embedded loudspeaker, and Wi-Fi connection allows images to be edited inside DJI GO to be shared almost instantly. Lastly, a five-hour battery life makes the Phantom 4 Pro+ a complete aerial imaging solution.

*Unobstructed, free of interference, when FCC compliant.

Draw

Draw is a brand new technology for waypoint control. Simply draw a route on screen and the Phantom 4 Pro will move in that direction while keeping its altitude locked. This allows the pilot to focus on camera control and enables more complex shots. There are two Draw modes that can be used in different scenarios.

Standard: The aircraft follows the route at a constant speed with the camera facing in the direction of flight.
Manual: The aircraft only moves along the route when instructed. In this mode, the camera can face in any direction during flight.

ActiveTrack

The Phantom 4 Pro automatically recognises subjects, follows and captures them as they move, making it easier to get complex shots.

Following fast-moving objects can be very challenging, but advanced image recognition algorithms used by the Phantom 4 Pr allow it to recognise and track the object while keeping it in frame. This new algorithm also recognises more subjects, from people to vehicles to animals, and will adjust its flight dynamics to match, ensuring smoother shots.

Pilots can choose between:
Trace: Follow behind or in front of a subject, avoiding obstacles automatically.
Profile: Fly alongside a subject at a variety of angles to get profile shots of the subject.
Spotlight: Keep the camera trained on a subject while the aircraft flies almost anywhere.

TapFly

Fly in any direction visible on-screen with a simple tap. Tap anywhere on-screen to smoothly adjust the direction of flight while automatically avoiding obstacles * and tap on the screen again or use control sticks to change direction. A new AR route function shows the aircraft's real-time direction for reference as its route is adjusted. As it can be difficult to control altitude, course, speed and camera pitch simultaneously using joysticks, TapFly Free allows a pilot to set the direction of flight, allowing them to turn the Phantom 4 Pro or tilt the gimbal as required without changing the direction of flight. In total, there are now three TapFly modes:

TapFly Forward: Tap to fly in the selected direction
TapFly Backward: Tap to fly in the opposite directino of the tap, i.e. tap in the bottom right corner of the screen to fly backwards towards the top left
TapFly Free: Lock the forward direction of the Phantom without locking the camera direction allowing it to turn as it flies.

*Obstacle Avoidance is not available with TapFly Free

Return to Home

In its upgraded Return to Home mode, the Phantom 4 Pro can automatically choose the best route to return home depending on environmental conditions. It records its route as it flies, allowing it to return along the same route avoiding obstacles if the control signal is disconnected.

Based on its altitude at the time of disconnection, the Phantom 4 Pro is also able to adjust its flight path to avoid obstacles it has seen during its flight. At takeoff, the Phantom 4 Pro will record the scene below and compare its recording with what it sees as it returns, ensuring a precise landing/ It can also detect the ground to see whether there is a suitable spot for landing. If any obstacles are found, or there is water on the ground, it will alert the pilot and hover at an appropriate height, helping the aircraft to land more safely.

Gesture Mode

Using Gesture Mode, selfies can be captures easily using a few gestures without the remote controller. Advanced computer technology allows the Phantom 4 Pro to take instructions through gestures. The subject simply lifts their arms when facing the camera and the aircraft will recognise this movement by locking on and placing the subject in the centre of the frame. When ready for a photo, the subject holds their arms out to signal the aircraft. A three second countdown will begin, making time to strike a pose, allowing moments to be captured without the remote control.

Sensor redundancy

The Phantom 4 Pro features dual compass modules and dual IMU units, making it more reliable when compared to many hexacopters and octocopters. Compasses and IMUs are important sensors to ensure a stable flight and the Phantom 4 Pro constantly compares the data it receives through both pairs. This data is run through advanced algorithms to check accuracy and any inaccurate data is simply discarded without affecting flight, keeping flight steady and reliable.

Intelligent batteries

Professional aerial imaging benefits from longer flight times. The Phantom 4 Pro has a maximum flight time of 30 minutes, providing more time in the air to capture the perfect shot. The DJI GO app shows battery lifetime and calculates remaining flight times according to distance travelled and more. It will give alerts when it reaches a minimum safe amount required for a safe journey back to the takeoff point. An advanced battery management system is also in place to prevent overcharging and over draining. When placed in longer term storage, batteries will discharge power to maintain good health.

DJI GO

Using the DJI GO app, a large number of intelligent Flight Modes are available. It also provides access to full manual camera controls, including ISO, aperture, shutter speed, image formats and more. Any changes in DJI GO will appear almost instantly on-screen. Vital flight data and video transmission status are easy to check in-app, further enhancing control efficiency and convenience.

A Drone Warranty is an Absolute Necessity!

Anyone who has ever flown a drone before will tell you two things:

  1. You can never have enough charged batteries
  2. You WILL crash the drone at some point

Even the most seasoned drone pilots still occasionally crash their drones. Accidents are inevitable for many reasons:

  • Sudden gust of wind
  • Over-correction to avoid an obstacle (or bird or another drone)
  • Collision with an obstacle (or bird or another drone)
  • Pilot inexperience
  • Mid-air component failure
  • Loss of battery power
  • (and dozens of other truly bizarre stories we have heard over the years)

Not all crashes are fatal to drones. Sometimes they just need a new propeller or two and sometimes they just get a bit scuffed up. Anything beyond that, and repairs can get expensive - especially if the camera that came with the drone gets damaged. If the drone is too badly damaged, it cannot be repaired or the repairs are so expensive, you are better off buying a whole new drone.

We cannot stress strongly enough the importance of having extra drone warranty coverage. The manufacturer will not cover anything if your drone has been involved in a crash, regardless of the reason. And, like cell phone companies, they will always look for the slightest bit of "water damage" do deny warranty claims for any component failures.

[Note: Drone protection plan options will be offered during the checkout process.]

Drone Deductible

Drone coverage only applies to what came in the actual drone package and not to anything additional that may have been bundled with the drone (batteries and propellers excluded). There is a $200 deductible associated with any damage claim to a DJI Phantom 4 Pro.

FAQs

What does the CPS Accidental Drone Warranty cover?

The CPS Accidental Drone Warranty covers full parts and labor on all internal hardware failure, as well as the extra added benefit of Accidental Damage Protection. This contract is specifically for drones used recreationally (consumer use only). Deductible applies at time of claim.

Does the Drone coverage start on the date of purchase, or is it an extended warranty plan?

The CPS Accidental Drone Warranty coverage begins on the end user’s date of purchase. For example, if the customer purchases a drone with a 2 year CPS plan, they will receive 2 total years from date of purchase. There is a 30 day claims hold to prevent DOAs or manufacturer defects, and CPS coverage will begin on day 31. Any claims that occur during that first 30 days would not be covered under this plan.

Does accidental coverage protect my drone against crashes?

Yes it does! This is exactly what the CPS Accidental Drone warranty is for. It covers physical damage, excessive damage, impact damage, water damage, and everything in between.

What doesn’t the CPS Accidental Drone Warranty cover?

Unfortunately this contract will not cover lost or stolen products, routine maintenance products (like propellers), consumables (like batteries) or any add-on accessories, whether they were part of a bundled purchase or not.

Does the CPS Accidental Drone Warranty cover the camera or gimbal?

If the camera and/or gimbal is included in the box from the manufacturer, then yes, the CPS warranty will cover it as well.

Will the CPS Accidental Drone Warranty cover propellers?

Replacing the drone’s propellers is a maintenance issue and is not covered under warranty. Propellers are user replaceable parts. Depending on the manufacturer, it is recommended to replace propellers if you notice a change in flight experience or experience noisy/unbalanced flight.

Does the CPS Accidental Drone Warranty cover the rechargeable battery?

Batteries are consumables and are not covered under warranty.

What happens if the remote control malfunctions or is damaged. Would that be covered as well?

Great question! CPS will cover the remote (that was included in the box from the manufacturer) for full parts and labor on any hardware malfunctions, as well as any accidental damage claims. If the remote was not part of the original package by the manufacturer (even if it was an add-on in a bundle), it will not be covered.

How would I file a claim? Is there anything I would need to have?

Filing a claim is easy! You can contact CPS by phone or email to file a claim. You also can file a claim directly through your CPS Client Care account, and via the chat on CPS website. You would need to submit your CPS Membership ID # to file a claim, the drone’s serial #, along with a copy of your original purchase receipt.

Who will repair my drone? Is there anywhere I can bring their drone in locally for service?

After providing the deductible payment, you will be directed to ship your product at your expense to CPS’s depot repair facility. Once received, based on the manufacturer, the drone will either be fixed by our in house Drone Repair Center or sent to the manufacturer directly. Unfortunately at this time you would be unable to repair your drones locally, as CPS would not be able to control the quality of the repair.

I noticed that a deductible applies at time of claim, how is that determined?

Drone coverage only applies to what came in the actual drone package and not to anything additional that may have been bundled with the drone. It applies to the drone, any camera that was attached to the drone by the manufacturer and the remote if included in the drone package by the manufacturer. The amount of the deductible is determined by the retail price of the drone, itself.

Will my coverage continue after CPS repairs my drone?

Yes it will! The coverage will remain in place until the contract expires, or unless the drone is replaced under warranty.

How many claims can I file over the life of their warranty plan?

You can file unlimited claims on their product, but coverage will cap out once the repair costs reach the original purchase price of their product.

What happens if the service center cannot repair the drone because of excessive damage, or if it’s beyond economical repair?

If CPS cannot fix the drone, CPS will replace it. CPS also will offer you the option of a check for the cost of the replacement.

Will the CPS coverage continue on to the replacement drone?

Unfortunately no, once the drone is replaced the CPS contract is considered fulfilled. You can purchase a new Drone Warranty for their replacement unit.

If I lost my drone, can they transfer the warranty over to the new drone I am purchasing?

Unfortunately no, if a unit is lost, the CPS warranty coverage would be voided and, therefore, not transferable to another drone.

I am selling my drone, can I sell the warranty with it?

You absolutely can. Transferring ownership is simple via the CPS Customer Experience Department. Please note, a $25.00 transfer fee will apply.

Does the CPS Accidental Drone Warranty cover commercially used drones?

This plan will only cover drones used recreationally (consumer use only). Unfortunately we do not have coverage for commercial pilots at this time.
