DJI Phantom 4 Pro+ V2.0 Drone - Includes Glare Resistant Display Screen
There is one and only one difference between the DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 and the Phantom 4 Pro+ V2.0. The Phantom 4 Pro+ V2.0 has a remote control with a 5.5" built-in screen.
While that may not seem like something worth paying an extra $300 for - you can use a phone or tablet for a screen, after all - it's not just any old display screen that comes on the Phantom 4 Pro+ V2.0 remote. It offers advantages that connecting a phone or tablet don't enjoy.
The Phantom 4 Pro+ V2.0 Remote Controller
The built-in display on the Phantom 4 Pro+ V2.0 is 5.5 inches. This 1080p display is ready for use once you unfold it — there’s never a need for a pre-flight connection to a smartphone or a tablet. Neither the phone nor the tablet come up to the display capabilities of the built-in unit. And, the Pro+ V2.0 controller with built-in display will weigh less than a Pro controller with tablet, if you were relying on a tablet for a better view than a phone provides.
The improved view is visible even on bright days. The built-in Pro+ V2.0 display is more than twice as bright as a phone or tablet attached to the older Pro controller. Images look sharper, with far more definition, than on a phone or tablet, even without a viewing hood.
The display uses a 5.8Ghz signal, which keeps the display from interfering with the drone’s 2.4Ghz signal.
With the display built in, setup before each flight becomes quicker. You don’t have to attach your phone, and you don’t have to connect or remember your cable. Press a single button, and the remote controller with built-in display is ready for flight. A microphone and speaker also are built in. After flying, there’s no device to detach. Just fold the built-in display against the controller and pack it up.
On the back, the Pro+ V2.0 controller has improved connectivity. Where the Pro controller has only two USB ports, the Pro+ controller has two USB ports, a microSD card slot and an HDMI out port. The HDMI port allows you to connect to an HDMI monitor, perhaps most useful at home or in the studio.
DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 Drone - The New and Improved Phantom 4
While it is true that the original Phantom 4 Pro was a consumer level drone with professional level features, DJI took things one step further with the new Phantom 4 V2.0 - all for the same price as the original.
Improvements over the original Phantom 4 Pro include:
- Infrared Sensing System
- Quieter Propellers
- OcuSync Video Transmission
Upon startup, people who own the original Phantom 4 will notice the difference. The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is 60% more quiet than the previous version. That 4dB noise reduction makes a big audio difference when shooting professional videos.
Introduced with the Mavic Air, the new infrared sensing system in the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 keeps the drone more stable and improves its obstacle avoidance.
The most significant difference is the new OcuSync transmission technology, which provides better resolution and lower latency when streaming to FPV goggles.
All other things you have come to expect from the previous Phantom 4 are still in place - a 4K HD/20 MP high resolution camera, tough titanium alloy/magnesium alloy body construction and sensors on all sides of the drone as well as the bottom.
PHANTOM 4 PRO V.20 - VISIONARY INTELLIGENCE. ELEVATED IMAGINATION.
The new Phantom 4 Pro V.20 features an OcySync HD transmission system, which supports automatic dual-frequency band switching and connects to DJI Goggles wirelessly. Like The Phantom 4 Pro and Advanced, the Phantom 4 Pro V.20 is equipped with a 1-inch 20-megapixel sensor capable of shooting 4K/60fps video and Burst Mode stills at 14fps. Plus, its FlightAutonomy system includes dual rear vision sensors and infrared sensing systems for a total of 5 directions of obstacle sensing and 4 directions of obstacle avoidance.
Camera With 1-Inch 20MP Sensor
The onboard camera has been redesigned to use a 1-inch 20-megapixel CMOS sensor. A custom engineered lens made up of eight elements is arranged in seven groups, it is the first DJI camera to use a mechanical shutter, eliminating rolling shutter distortion which can occur when taking images of fast moving subjects or when flying a high speed. In effect, it is as powerful as many traditional ground cameras. More powerful video processing supports H.264 4K videos at 60fps or H.265 4K at 30fps, both with a 100Mbps bit rate. Advanced sensors and processors ensure everything is captured with more image detail and the image data needed for advanced post-production.
1-Inch 20-Megapixel CMOS
Sensor size is more important to image quality than the number of pixels because a large sensor captures more information in every pixel, improving dynamic range, signal-to-noise ratio and low light performance. The 1-Inch 20-megapixel CMOS sensor in the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is almost four times the size of the Phantom 4's 1/2.3in sensor. It uses larger pixels and has a maximum ISO of12800 as well as increased contrast. It is good enough for images to be used immediately, while also capturing enough detail for advanced post-processing.
Production Optimised 4K
An enhanced video processing system allows video to be captured in cinema and production optimised DCI 4K/60 (4096x2160/60fps) at a bit rate of 100Mbps, enabling you to get high resolution slow motion shots. The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 also supports the H.265 video codec (Maximum resolution 4096z2160/30fps). For a given bit rate, H.265 doubles the amount of processing as the H.264, resulting in significantly enhanced image quality. Record in the high dynamic range D-log mode to make the most of this image data for colour grading.
High Resolution Lens
The resolution and contrast of a lens is critical to image quality, only a quality lens can capture sharp, vivid photos at high resolutions. The brand new Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 camera has an aerial optimised F.28 wide-angle lens with a 24mm equivalent focal length. It features eight elements - 2 aspherical arranged in seven groups that fit into a smaller, more compact frame. Its images are consistently detailed with low distortion and low dispersion, ensuring that photos and videos are sharp and vivid. For the first time ever with a DJI camera, MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) results have been made public, so people can get a better understanding of lens performance.
*An MTF chart is used to measure the ability of a lens to reproduce contrast and resolve details. Low spatial frequencies reflect overall contrast, and high spatial frequencies reflect detail resolution. Both are measured in lp/mm. Image Height indicates the distance of a given point on the lens from the centre of the sensor. MTF 100% indicates perfect performance.
Capture Every Moment
Aerial imaging is not only used to capture landscapes; it brings new perspectives to everything from action scenes to motor racing. Capturing objects moving at high speed has always been a challenge for flying cameras using an electronic shutter. This is why the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is the first DJI Phantom to use a mechanical shutter and a large-aperture prime lens. A mechanical shutter with a max speed of 1/2000s eliminates rolling shutter distortion which can occur when taking images of fast moving subjects or when flying at high speed. The electronic shutter has also been improved with a max shutter speed of 1/8000 seconds and a new Burst Mode shoot capable of shooting 14fps at 20 megapixels to catch the perfect moment.
5-Direction of Obstacle Sensing
FlightAutonomy is expanded with an additional set of high-resolution stereo vision sensors placed at the rear in addition to the pair placed at the front as well as infrared sensing systems placed on the left and right sides. This network creates a total of 5-direction of obstacle sensing and 4-direction of obstacle avoidance, protecting the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 from more obstacles and giving filmmakers the confidence to capture more complex images.
6-Camera Navigation System
Three sets of dual vision sensors form a 6-camera navigation system that works constantly to calculate the relative speed and distance between the aircraft and an object. Using this network of forward, rearward and downward vision sensors, the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is able to hover precisely in places without GPS when taking off indoors, or on balconies, or even when flying through windows with minimal flight control. In the unlikely event that front and downward sensors are unable to operate, the aircraft can still hover in place using the rear stereo vision system. The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is also able to fly in complex environments at a flight speed of up to 31mph (50kph) while avoiding obstacles in its path. In Narrow Sensing Mode, the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 narrows its sensing scope enabling it to see in more detail and fly through small spaces.
What is FlightAutonomy
FlightAutonomy is an advanced aerial intelligence and flight automation platform. It is made up of a complex network of ten component groups including seven cameras - forward, rearward and downward dual vision sensors and the primary camera - an infrared sensing system, dual-band satellite positioning (GPS & GLONASS), two downward facing ultrasonic rangefinders, redundant IMUs and compasses, and a group of powerful, specialised computing cores. The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 acquires a real-time view of its environment and information about the height and position of nearby obstacles to create a 3D map it can locate itself within. The IMU and compasses collect critical flight status, speed and direction data, while redundant IMUs and compasses monitor critical data and rule out possible errors, dramatically enhancing the reliability of flight.
Infrared Sensing System
The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is the first DJI aircraft to use an infrared sensing system. Placed on the left, and right sides of the aircraft, these measure the distance between the aircraft and any obstacle using infrared 3D scanning. When in Beginner Mode and Tripod Mode, these sensors have a horizontal field of view of 70° and a vertical view of 20°, providing a wide view of the scene to the sides of the Phantom, and a maximum range of 23ft (7m). Traditional ultrasonic sensors only have a detection range of 3-5m and may be confused when affected by propeller vibration. The infrared sensing system is able to sense larger areas and measure the distance between the aircraft, identifying the closest objects accurately while avoiding interference, proving more reliable sensing and protection.
OcuSync Remote Controller with Built-in Screen
A 5.5-inch 1080p screen integrated with the Phantom 4 Pro+ V2.0 controller offers 1000cd/m² of brightness, more than twice as bright as conventional smart devices. As the DJI GO app is built into the screen, hardware and software are fully optimised, allowing you to edit and share instantly. Along with the controller's five-hour battery life and 4.3mi (7km) OcuSync transmission, the Phantom 4 Pro+ V2.0 is a complete aerial imaging solution.*
*Maximum transmission distance attainable when unobstructed, free of interference and FCC compliant.
New OcuSync Video Transmission
The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0's remote controller uses OcuSync video transmission,* which employs time-division multiplexing technology to send control signal and receive video signal simultaneously. When the controller is powered on, the OcuSync system scans for the frequency band with the lowest interference and switches accordingly to maintain clear transmission. Also, thanks to OcuSync, the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 wirelessly connects to DJI Goggles. Free from cable constraints, you can enjoy exciting FPV flight at speeds of up to 72kph (45mph) in S-mode.
*The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 and Phantom 4 Pro+ V2.0 controllers are not compatible with the Phantom 4 Pro.
A 5.5in 1080p screen integrated with the Phantom 4 Pro+ V2.0 offers 1000cd/m² of brightness, more than twice as much as conventional smart devices. It makes bright, vivid colours easily visible in direct sunlight. As the DJI GO 4 app is built into the screen, a mobile device is not required, simplifying pre-flight preparations. Integration of an HDMI port, Micro SD card slot, microphone, embedded loudspeaker and Wi-Fi connection allow images to be edited inside the DJI GO 4 to be shared almost instantly, Its five-hour battery life makes the Phantom 4 Pro+ V2.0 a complete aerial imaging solution.
See a Different World
The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 wirelessly connects to DJI Goggles, putting you directy in the heart of the action with dual LTPS displays that offer a high-quality 1080p live camera view with an 85° FOV. Connected via OcuSync, users can experience fast and clear FPV flight with incredibly low latency. Plus, controlling your Phantom with DJI Goggles is more intuitive than ever. Just enable Head Tracking, which allows you to move the aircraft or gimbal simply by turning your head.
New aeridynamic 9455S propellers and new FOC ESC drivers offer improved noise control and sinusoidal current for increased stability. Aircraft noise has been reduced by up to 4dB* (60%) for quieter, more enjoyable flights.
*While indoors and within 3.28 ft (1 m) of the aircraft.
Professional aerial imaging benefits from longer flight times. The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 has a maximum flight time of 30 minutes, providing more time in the air to capture the perfect shot. The DJI GO 4 app shows battery lifetime and calculates remaining flight times according to distance travelled and more. It will give alerts when it reaches a minimum safe amount required for a safe journey back to the takeoff point. An advanced battery management system is also in place to prevent overcharging and over draining. When placed in longer term storage, batteries will discharge power to maintain good health.

A Drone Warranty is an Absolute Necessity!
Anyone who has ever flown a drone before will tell you two things:
- You can never have enough charged batteries
- You WILL crash the drone at some point
Even the most seasoned drone pilots still occasionally crash their drones. Accidents are inevitable for many reasons:
- Sudden gust of wind
- Over-correction to avoid an obstacle (or bird or another drone)
- Collision with an obstacle (or bird or another drone)
- Pilot inexperience
- Mid-air component failure
- Loss of battery power
- (and dozens of other truly bizarre stories we have heard over the years)
Not all crashes are fatal to drones. Sometimes they just need a new propeller or two and sometimes they just get a bit scuffed up. Anything beyond that, and repairs can get expensive - especially if the camera that came with the drone gets damaged. If the drone is too badly damaged, it cannot be repaired or the repairs are so expensive, you are better off buying a whole new drone.
We cannot stress strongly enough the importance of having extra drone warranty coverage. The manufacturer will not cover anything if your drone has been involved in a crash, regardless of the reason. And, like cell phone companies, they will always look for the slightest bit of "water damage" do deny warranty claims for any component failures.
[Note: Drone protection plan options will be offered during the checkout process.]
Drone coverage only applies to what came in the actual drone package and not to anything additional that may have been bundled with the drone (batteries and propellers excluded). There is a $200 deductible associated with any damage claim to a DJI Phantom 4 Pro+.
What does the CPS Accidental Drone Warranty cover?
The CPS Accidental Drone Warranty covers full parts and labor on all internal hardware failure, as well as the extra added benefit of Accidental Damage Protection. This contract is specifically for drones used recreationally (consumer use only). Deductible applies at time of claim.
Does the Drone coverage start on the date of purchase, or is it an extended warranty plan?
The CPS Accidental Drone Warranty coverage begins on the end user’s date of purchase. For example, if the customer purchases a drone with a 2 year CPS plan, they will receive 2 total years from date of purchase. There is a 30 day claims hold to prevent DOAs or manufacturer defects, and CPS coverage will begin on day 31. Any claims that occur during that first 30 days would not be covered under this plan.
Does accidental coverage protect my drone against crashes?
Yes it does! This is exactly what the CPS Accidental Drone warranty is for. It covers physical damage, excessive damage, impact damage, water damage, and everything in between.
What doesn’t the CPS Accidental Drone Warranty cover?
Unfortunately this contract will not cover lost or stolen products, routine maintenance products (like propellers), consumables (like batteries) or any add-on accessories, whether they were part of a bundled purchase or not.
Does the CPS Accidental Drone Warranty cover the camera or gimbal?
If the camera and/or gimbal is included in the box from the manufacturer, then yes, the CPS warranty will cover it as well.
Will the CPS Accidental Drone Warranty cover propellers?
Replacing the drone’s propellers is a maintenance issue and is not covered under warranty. Propellers are user replaceable parts. Depending on the manufacturer, it is recommended to replace propellers if you notice a change in flight experience or experience noisy/unbalanced flight.
Does the CPS Accidental Drone Warranty cover the rechargeable battery?
Batteries are consumables and are not covered under warranty.
What happens if the remote control malfunctions or is damaged. Would that be covered as well?
Great question! CPS will cover the remote (that was included in the box from the manufacturer) for full parts and labor on any hardware malfunctions, as well as any accidental damage claims. If the remote was not part of the original package by the manufacturer (even if it was an add-on in a bundle), it will not be covered.
How would I file a claim? Is there anything I would need to have?
Filing a claim is easy! You can contact CPS by phone or email to file a claim. You also can file a claim directly through your CPS Client Care account, and via the chat on CPS website. You would need to submit your CPS Membership ID # to file a claim, the drone’s serial #, along with a copy of your original purchase receipt.
Who will repair my drone? Is there anywhere I can bring their drone in locally for service?
After providing the deductible payment, you will be directed to ship your product at your expense to CPS’s depot repair facility. Once received, based on the manufacturer, the drone will either be fixed by our in house Drone Repair Center or sent to the manufacturer directly. Unfortunately at this time you would be unable to repair your drones locally, as CPS would not be able to control the quality of the repair.
I noticed that a deductible applies at time of claim, how is that determined?
Drone coverage only applies to what came in the actual drone package and not to anything additional that may have been bundled with the drone. It applies to the drone, any camera that was attached to the drone by the manufacturer and the remote if included in the drone package by the manufacturer. The amount of the deductible is determined by the retail price of the drone, itself.
Will my coverage continue after CPS repairs my drone?
Yes it will! The coverage will remain in place until the contract expires, or unless the drone is replaced under warranty.
How many claims can I file over the life of their warranty plan?
You can file unlimited claims on their product, but coverage will cap out once the repair costs reach the original purchase price of their product.
What happens if the service center cannot repair the drone because of excessive damage, or if it’s beyond economical repair?
If CPS cannot fix the drone, CPS will replace it. CPS also will offer you the option of a check for the cost of the replacement.
Will the CPS coverage continue on to the replacement drone?
Unfortunately no, once the drone is replaced the CPS contract is considered fulfilled. You can purchase a new Drone Warranty for their replacement unit.
If I lost my drone, can they transfer the warranty over to the new drone I am purchasing?
Unfortunately no, if a unit is lost, the CPS warranty coverage would be voided and, therefore, not transferable to another drone.
I am selling my drone, can I sell the warranty with it?
You absolutely can. Transferring ownership is simple via the CPS Customer Experience Department. Please note, a $25.00 transfer fee will apply.
Does the CPS Accidental Drone Warranty cover commercially used drones?
This plan will only cover drones used recreationally (consumer use only). Unfortunately we do not have coverage for commercial pilots at this time.
